Privacy Policy

What Social Engine collects when you connect a social account, who we share it with, and how to have it deleted.

Effective July 9, 2026

01

Who we are

#who-we-are

Social Engine is operated by BT Web Group, LLC, 168 E. Reynolds Rd. Lexington, KY 40517. You can reach us about anything in this policy at support@btwebgroup.com.

02

Scope

#scope

This policy covers Social Engine, the social media management service we provide at https://content.btwebgroup.com. Our service is offered in the United States.

03

What we collect

#what-we-collect

Account data. Your name, email address, organization name, and a hashed password.

Platform data. When you connect a social media account, we receive only what that platform grants us:

  • Facebook and Instagram: the list of Pages you manage, Page access tokens, the Instagram Business Account linked to a Page, the posts you create, and engagement counts such as likes, comments, and reach.
  • Google Business Profile: your accounts and business locations, access and refresh tokens, and the posts you create.
  • LinkedIn: your member or organization identifier, an access token, a refresh token, and the posts you create.
  • X (Twitter): your account identifier, access and refresh tokens, and the posts you create.

Media. Images and video you upload to attach to posts.

04

How we use it

#how-we-use-it

We use your data to do the things you ask the product to do: publish the content you schedule, read engagement figures so we can show you how a post performed, and generate draft content when you request it.

We do not use your platform data to train AI models, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.

Google user data. Social Engine's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google Business Profile data only to list the locations you manage and to publish the posts you create, and we do not send data received from Google APIs to OpenAI or any other AI provider.

05

Access tokens

#tokens

Connecting an account gives us an access token. Tokens are encrypted at rest and are used only to act on your behalf on the platform you connected them to.

When you disconnect an account, we delete its tokens.

06

Sub-processors

#sub-processors

We share data with these providers, and only for these purposes:

  • Amazon Web Services — hosting and storage of the media you upload.
  • OpenAI — generates draft post content from the prompts and brand context you supply. Platform access tokens are never sent to OpenAI.
  • The social platforms themselves — Meta, Google, LinkedIn, and X — so we can publish and read on your behalf.
07

How long we keep it

#retention

We keep your posts and their engagement metrics for as long as your account is active. We delete an account's tokens as soon as you disconnect it. We delete everything on request.

08

Your choices

#your-choices
  • Disconnect any connected social account at any time — this deletes that platform's stored access tokens and stops us from acting on your behalf on it.
  • Remove Social Engine's access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
  • Ask an administrator in your organization to delete your user login.
  • Request deletion of all of your data — your account, posts, connected account records and tokens, and uploaded media. See how to delete your data.
09

California residents

#california

If you live in California, the CCPA and CPRA give you the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to have it deleted, and to have it corrected. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of. Email support@btwebgroup.com to exercise any of these rights.

10

Children

#children

Social Engine is not intended for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
