These terms are an agreement between you and BT Web Group, LLC, 168 E. Reynolds Rd. Lexington, KY 40517, who operate Social Engine at https://content.btwebgroup.com. Using Social Engine means you accept them.
If you accept these terms for an agency or company, you are confirming that you can bind it. "You" then means that organization and everyone you invite into it.
How we handle your data is set out in our privacy policy, which is part of this agreement.
Social Engine is a social media management tool for marketing agencies. You create a project for each of your clients, connect that client's Facebook Pages, Instagram Business accounts, Google Business Profile locations, LinkedIn and X accounts, draft posts, route them through an approval step inside your organization, and schedule them to publish.
The service is offered in the United States. We do not offer it anywhere else.
You must be 18 or older to hold an account, and the details you give us have to be accurate.
An administrator in your organization invites teammates and decides what each of them can do. Anything those people do in your organization is your responsibility, including the posts they publish.
Keep your password to yourself and do not let anyone else use your login. Tell us at support@btwebgroup.com as soon as you think an account has been compromised.
When you connect a social account, you are telling us you are authorized to manage it — either because it is yours or because the client who owns it has asked you to. We rely on that. If you lose that authorization, disconnect the account.
Each platform's own terms still apply to everything you do on it. Nothing here overrides them, and using Social Engine does not excuse you from them.
We act on a connected account only on your instruction: we publish what you schedule and read back how it performed. We do not post anything of our own. Disconnecting an account erases its stored access tokens and ends our access to it.
Your content stays yours. That includes your posts, captions, images, video, brand assets, and everything you upload or write in the product.
You grant us a licence to host, store, copy, and reformat that content for one purpose: running the service for you. That includes sending it to a platform you connected when you tell us to publish it. The licence is limited to what the service needs and it ends when you delete the content or your account.
You are responsible for what you publish. Make sure you have the rights to the content and to any name, logo, image, music, or person in it, and that it is accurate and legal where it will be seen.
When you ask for a draft, we send your prompt and brand context to OpenAI and give you back what it produces. That output is a suggestion. It exists for you to read, edit, and approve.
We do not promise that generated text is accurate, original, or suitable for what you want to use it for. It may be wrong, and it may resemble something else. Two people asking for something similar can get something similar.
Once you publish it, the post is yours and you are responsible for it exactly as if you had written it. Approving a draft is the point at which that happens, so review it properly.
Do not use Social Engine to:
- publish anything unlawful, deceptive, harassing, or infringing of someone else's rights;
- send spam, run engagement schemes, or publish on accounts you were not authorized to manage;
- break the policies of a platform you connected, or work around a limit one of them has set;
- scrape, reverse engineer, decompile, or copy the service, or probe it for vulnerabilities;
- resell, sublicense, or white-label the service without our written agreement.
Using Social Engine for your own agency clients is the intended use and is not resale.
Social Engine depends on APIs run by Meta, Google, LinkedIn, and X. They control those APIs. They can change them, rate-limit us, reject a post, or revoke access to an account at any time, with or without notice, and we have no say in it.
When that happens, a scheduled post can fail or a connected account can stop working until you reconnect it. We will tell you what we know, but an interruption caused by a platform is not a breach of these terms by us.
What you pay, how often, and what your plan includes are set out in the ordering document, quote, or plan your organization agreed with us. That document governs; these terms do not change it.
Fees are payable in US dollars and, unless your ordering document says otherwise, are not refundable. You are responsible for any taxes on top. If an invoice goes unpaid we may suspend the service under the next clause.
You can stop using Social Engine and close your account whenever you want. Ask an administrator in your organization, or email support@btwebgroup.com.
We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, if your use puts our platform access at risk, or if an invoice is unpaid. If the problem can be fixed, we will normally tell you and give you a chance to fix it first. We may suspend immediately when the situation is serious enough to need it.
When the agreement ends, scheduled posts stop, connected accounts are disconnected and their access tokens deleted, and your data is handled as described in our privacy policy. Export anything you want to keep before you close your account. To have everything erased, follow how to delete your data.
Social Engine is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that every scheduled post will publish on time, that engagement figures a platform reports to us are accurate, or that generated drafts will be fit for your purpose.
Neither side is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost business, or lost data, even if the loss was foreseeable.
Our total liability for any claim relating to Social Engine is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Some states do not allow these limits. Where that is the case, they apply to you only as far as the law allows.
You will defend us against any third-party claim that arises from your content, from something you published through Social Engine, from connecting an account you were not authorized to manage, or from your breach of these terms — and you will cover the damages and legal costs finally awarded on it.
We will tell you promptly about any such claim and let you control the defence, provided any settlement releases us fully.
We change the product regularly. Features can be added, altered, or retired, sometimes because a platform we depend on has changed. We will not remove something central to your plan without telling you.
If we change these terms, we will give you at least 14 days notice before the changes take effect. Carrying on with Social Engine after that means you accept the new terms. If you do not, close your account.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute arising under them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lexington, Kentucky, and both sides agree to that venue.
If a clause here is held unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Not enforcing something straight away does not waive our right to enforce it later.
